Ashlesha and Related Nakshatra Dosha Cancellation
Nakshatra Pada Results and Cancellations
- The first three padas of Vishakha bring happiness to the husband's younger brother.
- The fourth pada of Mula is auspicious for the father-in-law.
- The first pada of Ashlesha gives auspicious results to the mother-in-law.
A bride born in the first three quarters (padas) of Vishakha Nakshatra brings happiness to her husband's younger brother. A girl or boy born in the fourth pada of Mula Nakshatra is auspicious for the father-in-law. Similarly, a bride born in the first pada of Ashlesha Nakshatra is auspicious for the mother-in-law.
Explanation: No cancellation for Jyeshtha Nakshatra dosha is stated here. Verse 19 says that a girl born under Vishakha may cause destruction or death to her husband's younger brother. The present verse, however, gives an exception: when the girl is born in the first three padas, covering three-fourths of Vishakha, she brings happiness to the husband's younger brother.
In the same way, a boy or girl born in the fourth pada of Mula is auspicious for the father-in-law. Only the first three padas of this nakshatra are regarded as harmful to him. Although a girl or boy born under Ashlesha is generally described as harmful to the mother-in-law, its first pada is specifically regarded as auspicious.
