Corrections & Updates

We take accuracy seriously—especially for time-sensitive pages like Panchanga, Sankashti Chaturthi moonrise, and eclipse timings. This page explains how to report an issue and how we correct it.

1) How to Report an Error

Include the following so we can verify quickly:

1. Page URL and section (e.g., “Moonrise table – August 2025”).
2. Your city and timezone (as detected or manually entered).
3. What seems incorrect and why (screenshots or source references help).

2) Our Correction Workflow

• Acknowledge: We log the report and attempt to reproduce the issue.
• Verify: Re-run calculations (Swiss Ephemeris / swetest) with the reported location, DST and topocentric parameters.
• Fix: Correct code/data and re-publish.
• Disclose: Add a visible note or timestamp for material corrections.

3) Corrections vs. Updates

• Material correction: Fixes that change a date/time, rule interpretation, or outcome displayed to users. We add a note and timestamp.
• Routine update: Annual recalculations, new city support, UI copy edits. Logged internally; no correction note unless content meaning changes.
• Minor edit: Typos, formatting, link hygiene. No public note.

4) Timestamps & Versioning

• Most pages show a “Last updated” line below the H1.
• For calculators, data tables may include per-row computed timestamps in the markup or schema.

5) Content Removal

We generally correct and annotate rather than remove. In rare cases (e.g., legal or safety issues), we may unpublish content and place a short explanation on an appropriate page.
