An ephemeris is a table that provides the calculated positions (longitudes) of celestial objects like the Sun, Moon, and planets at regular intervals. Astrologers rely on this data to cast accurate horoscopes for a specific date and time, forming the foundation of any astrological reading.
Vedic (or Sidereal) astrology is based on the positions of planets against the fixed background of constellations.
