Sun is our soul, ego, self-confidence, willpower. Sun also represents Father, King and government.
Ketu is a headless planet. It's the South node of the moon. Ketu represents isolation, nothingness, spirituality and research. Ketu indicates the things we already completed in past life. It's only a reply in this life. This is the reason, where ever Ketu is placed, we are not obsessed with those affairs or not satisfied.
When Ketu conjoined with the sun, it gives eclipse. Within 5 degrees apart, the effect could be more.
Natal suffers from low confidence and lack of ego. In this materialistic world, we need some ego to complete our day to day affairs. Here that ego always goes into isolation.
But this combination makes the person a true spiritual soul. After 32 to 35 years age the confidence levels can boost up. When the sun is exalted or placed in leg of its own house, the sun can possess better strength. In this case, though the confidence suffers sometimes, natal could come out of this Ketu shadow easily.
