Astrology Lessons - Kemadruma and Sakata Yogas (Lunar Doshas)

The Moon signifies the Mind. When the Moon is isolated or ill-placed, it creates certain challenging yogas that affect a person's psychological stability and worldly comforts.

Type of Yoga Formation and Result
Kemadruma Yoga Formed when there are no planets (excluding Sun and Rahu/Ketu) in the signs adjacent to the Moon.
Result: Creates deep mental isolation (loneliness), poverty, and dependence on others. However, if benefic planets are in Kendras, this yoga gets cancelled (Bhanga).
Sakata Yoga Formed when Jupiter is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house from the Moon.
Result: 'Sakata' means a wheel. Life fluctuates like a spinning wheel—wealth and fame are never stable.
Remedy Worshipping Lord Shiva and seeking the sight of the full moon (Purnima) provides mental peace and mitigates these lunar afflictions.
