Just as a human being passes through infancy, youth, and old age, planets also possess an "Age" based on their degree in a sign. This determines their capacity to provide results. This system is known as Baladi Avasthas.

Note: In Even signs (Taurus, Cancer, etc.), the order is exactly reversed.
Expert Insight: A planet in the Yuva Avastha (12°-18°) is at its peak strength. If it forms a Raja Yoga, the success arrives early and powerfully. Conversely, a planet in Mrita Avastha is like a retired soldier—it has the knowledge but lacks the physical strength to act. Its strength can be improved via gemstones.
