Mula is the nineteenth Nakshatra, spanning from 00°00' to 13°20' in Sagittarius. Symbolized by Tied Roots or a Lion's Tail, it represents getting to the bottom of things and radical transformation. Its ruling deity is Nirriti, the Goddess of Destruction, who destroys the old to build a new foundation.
