The most auspicious and powerful trine (Trikona) house in a horoscope is the Ninth House. It determines the level of comfort, divine grace, and luck an individual will enjoy in this birth. It is primarily called 'Bhagya Sthana' (Fortune), 'Dharma Sthana', and 'Pitru Sthana' (Father). If the Lagna represents our effort, the Ninth House represents the divine cooperation received for that effort.

  • Spouse's Siblings: The 7th house is the spouse. The 3rd (Siblings) from it is the 9th house ($7+3-1 = 9$). It represents the brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
  • Third Child: The 5th house is the 1st child, 7th is the 2nd, and the 9th represents the 3rd child.
