In astrology, the results provided by a planet depend more on its lordship (Bhava Adhipatyam) for a particular Ascendant than on the sign it occupies. Cancer	2nd Lord (Dhana/Maraka)	Neutral	Friend to Lagna lord Moon, but the 2nd house is a Maraka house. Thus, while it provides wealth, it can affect health. Favorable Positions: 2 (Own sign), 10 (Exalted), 9. Results: Wealth through government contracts. Eye-related issues may occur.
Leo	1st Lord (Lagna)	Benefic	As the Lagna lord, the Sun is purely benefic. Provides self-confidence, health, and fame. Favorable Positions: 1, 5, 9, 10. Results: Unrivaled authority if in the 10th. Great name in society.

Scorpio	10th Lord (Rajya)	Yogakaraka (Benefic)	Friend to Lagna lord Mars. As the lord of the 10th, he signifies career success. Favorable Positions: 10 (Own sign + Digbala), 1, 5, 9. Results: Highest government positions, gain through the father.
Sagittarius	9th Lord (Bhagya)	Best Benefic	Trine lord and a friend. For Sagittarius, the Sun represents fortune (Luck). Favorable Positions: 9 (Own sign), 1, 5 (Exalted), 10. Results: Fortune through the father, divine devotion, higher education.

Tips for Prediction

Directional Strength: Regardless of the Ascendant, if the Sun is in the 10th house, the person will possess significant authority in their profession.
Cancellation of Debilitation: For Libra Ascendant, if the Sun is debilitated in the Lagna, self-confidence may be low. However, if Venus or Saturn is in a Kendra, "Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga" is formed.
Maraka Status: Although the Sun is a Maraka lord for Cancer and Aquarius Ascendants, some texts state that the Sun and Moon do not suffer from the "Ashtama Dosha" (8th house defect). However, Maraka results are experienced when the Dasha arrives.
