After the Rashi Chart (D1), the Navamsa Chart (D9) is the most vital. If Rashi is the flower, Navamsa is its fragrance and fruit. It reveals the internal strength of planets. One sign (30°) is divided into 9 parts (3° 20' each) to create this chart.

Concept Significations and Results
Vargottama Planet When a planet occupies the same sign in both D1 and D9 charts, it is called Vargottama. Such a planet becomes extremely powerful and bestows results equivalent to an exalted planet.
Marriage (Kalatra) To predict marriage, analyzing the D9 Lagna and its lord is mandatory. If they are strong, marital life remains peaceful. Check where the 7th lord of D1 is placed in D9 to see the spouse's nature.
Fortune (Luck) The influence of Navamsa increases significantly after the age of 30-35. D1 is what we are born with; D9 is what we actually Manifest in our life.
Pushkaramsa If a planet falls in specific degrees within the Navamsa (Pushkaramsa), it receives divine nourishment. Even a weak planet can provide great results if it is in Pushkaramsa.
