In astrology, Jupiter (Guru) is the Great Benefic (Atyanta Shubha Graha). He signifies wealth, children, education, fortune, and the husband in a woman's chart. Wherever Jupiter sits, he expands that house, and he protects the houses he aspects (5, 7, 9 aspects). "Jupiter's aspect destroys a million defects," says the proverb.
However, when lordship is considered based on Ascendant, Jupiter also transforms into a malefic for certain signs. In this lesson, we learn these details, especially about Hamsa Yoga and Kendradhipati Dosha.
