Astrology Lessons - Marriage Timing (Practical Prediction)

For a marriage to occur, having a strong 7th house is not enough. It requires the right "Time" (Dasha and Gochar). In this lesson, we will learn how to accurately predict the timeframe of marriage by combining the Vimsottari Dasha system with the transits of the two major planets: Jupiter and Saturn.

The Predictive Rules

  1. Dasha-Bhukti: The current Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha must belong to the 7th lord, a planet placed in the 7th house, or Venus (the natural significator of marriage).
  2. Double Transit Rule: For a major event like marriage to materialize, both Saturn and Jupiter must aspect the 7th house or the 7th lord of the birth chart simultaneously (within a period of 6-12 months).
Factor Analysis (Example: Aries Lagna) Conclusion
Dasha Requirement The native is currently running Venus Dasha - Rahu Bhukti. (Venus is the 7th lord for Aries, qualifying for marriage). Proposal will finalize and marriage will occur.
Transit (Gochar) 1. Saturn: Currently in Aquarius, aspecting the 7th house (Libra) with its 9th aspect (wait, standard aspects are 3, 7, 10). Let's say Saturn is in Leo, looking at Libra (3rd aspect).
2. Jupiter: Currently in Aries, looking at Libra (7th aspect).
Student Tip: If Jupiter aspects the 7th house but Saturn does not, proposals will arrive, and there will be talks of marriage, but the deal will not finalize. Saturn's aspect is mandatory to provide the Commitment and social stamp to the event.
