Ashlesha is the ninth Nakshatra, located from 16°40' to 30°00' in Cancer. Symbolized by a Coiled Serpent, it represents intense psychological power, mystery, and hidden knowledge. Its ruling deities are the Nagas (Serpent Gods).

General Characteristics

  • Lord: Mercury.
  • Gana: Rakshasa Gana.
  • Nature: Sharp/Fierce (Tikshna).
  • Traits: Highly intuitive, secretive, and protective. They possess a "hypnotic" personality and can excel in research and foreign relations.
