Ardra Nakshatra (The Star of Sorrow)

Ardra is the sixth Nakshatra in the zodiac, spanning from 6°40' to 20°00' in Gemini. Symbolized by a Teardrop, it represents the storm before the calm and the process of washing away the old to make way for the new. Its ruling deity is Lord Rudra, the fierce form of Shiva.

General Characteristics

  • Lord: Rahu.
  • Gana: Manushya Gana (Human).
  • Nature: Sharp/Fierce (Tikshna/Daruna).
