Jyeshtha is the eighteenth Nakshatra, spanning from 16°40' to 30°00' in Scorpio. Symbolized by an Earring or a Talisman, it represents protection, hidden power, and seniority. Its ruling deity is Indra, the King of Gods, representing the struggle to maintain one's position of authority.

General Characteristics

  • Lord: Mercury.
  • Gana: Rakshasa Gana.
  • Nature: Sharp/Fierce (Tikshna).
  • Traits: Natural leaders, highly protective of their family or tribe, and intellectually sharp. They possess a "Senior" mindset regardless of their actual age.
