Mastering these terms makes prediction faster and more accurate.

1. Short, Medium, and Long Signs

Signs are categorized into three types based on their rising duration. This is particularly useful in Muhurta (electional) determination.

3. Tattva and Life-Force Nature

Dhatu, Moola, and Jeeva Associations:
  • Dhatu (Mineral/Metal): Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
  • Moola (Plant/Vegetable): Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
  • Jeeva (Living Beings/Human): Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.
