Astrology Lessons - Parivartana Yogas (Exchange of Signs)

A **Parivartana Yoga** occurs when one planet occupies another planet's sign and vice versa. This exchange strengthens both the planets and the houses involved. There are three primary types of Parivartana Yogas:

Type of Yoga Rule and Result
1. Maha Parivartana Yoga Formed when lords of benefic houses (1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11) exchange signs.
Result: Bestows a royal life, great wealth, status, and happiness.
2. Khala Parivartana Yoga Formed through an exchange between a benefic house lord and the 3rd house lord.
Result: Life involves extreme ups and downs. One may fluctuate between poverty and wealth, but usually achieves final victory.
3. Dainya Parivartana Yoga Formed when lords of Dusthanas (6, 8, 12) exchange signs with benefic house lords.
Result: Generally inauspicious. It brings enemies, illnesses, and continuous hardships. Work goes unappreciated.
